Ulster Wills Index, 1858-1916.
Containing over 200,000 entries, the Ulster Wills Index provides name of deceased, date of death, County and now includes the place of residence of the deceased.
The index covers probated Wills and Administrations for residents of Antrim, Armagh, Donegal, Down, Fermanagh, Londonderry, Louth, Monaghan and Tyrone from 1858 and consequently provides a valuable resource in locating records for those who died prior to the introduction of Civil Registration in 1864. County Cavan entries are not currently covered in the Index.
In many cases, a transcript of the full Will is available from the Public Records Office (PRONI).
