Church Census, 1841: Killinchy Presbyterian, County Down
This Church Census records the names of families in the congregation of the Killinchy Non Subscribing Presbyterian (Unitarian) Church, in the parish of Killinchy in County Down, Northern Ireland in 1841.
The Church is one of the oldest presbyterian congregations in Ireland, having been founded in 1630 following a split with the First Presbyterian Church over doctrine. The site for the current Meeting House in Ballyministra (see picture) was first built in 1846.
All family members are listed by name in the 1841 Church Census, with the Head of Household identified and the total number of individuals residing there also noted. It includes the townland of residence and occasional notes on the family.
